This beautiful municipality was founded and built, but not initially inaugurated as a municipality of Ontario until January 1st, 1994. At such a time (and even before that, back in the 1820s) that the municipality was not inaugurated, the First Nations people initially lived here, and were mostly driven out upon the arrival and settling of the Catholic Irish. One very nice concept about this municipality is just how tightly-knit this entire community is, from one of its small towns to another: everyone knows and adores everyone down here, and by extension, they extend that attention and warmth to their visitors.The location of Adjala – Tosorontio offers to those living there the chance to be able to experience the countryside of southern Ontario in a way that is nearly impossible to do in the big city.
